Regional Data Analyst

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations agency, is dedicated to promoting humane migration. Working in partnership with various governmental and non-governmental bodies, IOM endeavors to strengthen the knowledge base on migration. The Regional Data Analyst will support decision-making processes through comprehensive data analysis to enhance the understanding of migration and human mobility across the region.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Identify new data analysis opportunities and appropriate data sources.
• Ensure data accuracy for reliable analysis and coordinate with data teams.
• Conduct regional analyses and coordinate cross-regional analysis.
• Support data collection and management strategies.
• Provide analytical support to regional country offices.
• Manage knowledge dissemination and adhere to data governance standards.

This role requires you to have:

• Master’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in data analysis in migration and human mobility.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data processing and analysis.
• Excellent drafting and statistical analysis skills.

You would benefit from having:

• Familiarity with PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
• Experience with data methodologies and survey design.
