The Australian Government is seeking Data Professionals to join the Data and Analytics Division within the Strategy and Performance group. This role is crucial for providing high-quality analysis and supporting evidence-based decision making. Operating across various business areas, the team engages in co-designing and analyzing data projects, significantly impacting agency strategy and customer outcomes.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Provide key strategic project guidance and advice based on in-depth data analysis.
- Design, analyze, and report on data projects, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks.
- Use structured and unstructured data to solve complex issues and drive strategic decision making.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement in data and analytics approaches.
- Lead projects leveraging advanced analytical techniques and machine learning.
- Develop and maintain data visualization products and insightful reports.

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Strong data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and storytelling abilities.

- Familiarity with Python packages like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and H2OML.
