This role is integral to driving performance improvements and strategic decision-making within the Council by sourcing, managing, and analyzing critical data. The analyst will support multiple strategic initiatives, contributing to the city's reputation as a global leader.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Deliver key data and visualisation products, ensuring accurate analysis and presentations.
- Communicate findings to diverse audiences using visualisations, reports, and verbal updates.
- Analyze ABS Census data and produce related reports, presentations, and visualisations.
- Lead and manage projects, including stakeholder engagement and contract oversight.
- Enhance collaboration by building strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Contribute to process improvement and service quality enhancement initiatives.

This role requires you to have:
- Tertiary qualification or significant experience in relevant fields such as social science or statistics.
- Expertise in data analysis and tools like PowerBI, Tableau, R, Python, and MS Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Numerical and problem-solving proficiency with effective communication capabilities.
You would benefit from having:
- Working knowledge of SQL, R Shiny, GIS, and use of property and demographic data.
- Experience in agile environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
