Heritage and People's Choice is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their innovative Data and Insights team. The role focuses on the administration and enhancement of their platform, while ensuring robust data pipeline solutions. This opportunity arises following the merger of two major mutual banks in Australia, forming People First Bank, renowned for its member-focused services.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance in-house frameworks using PySpark for standardized implementations.
• Mentor and upskill junior team members and the wider analytics community.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and design end-to-end data engineering solutions.
• Create and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Framework and Python/PySpark.
• Deliver quality solutions timely with best practices using Azure DevOps services.
• Support monitoring of Data and Insights Platform batch operations.

This role requires you to have:

• Extensive experience with complex data environments.
• Proficiency with Azure Cloud Services and Azure Data Services.
• Advanced knowledge in SQL, PySpark, and Python.
