Data Analyst | Fraud Prevention & Detection

NAB is seeking a Data Analyst to join their high-performing fraud prevention and detection team. The role exists to extract meaningful insights and trends from large datasets related to fraud. The goal is to deliver intelligence to enhance Group Investigations and Fraud strategies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends related to fraud and investigations.
• Proactively identify intelligence opportunities for the investigations team.
• Investigate referred data and intelligence requests.
• Research industry fraud trends to understand the threat landscape.
• Support control testing and identify risk events.
• Ensure governance and accountability for fraud risks and models.
• Contribute to group investigations and fraud strategy goals.

This role requires you to have:

• Data analysis experience with tools like SQL, PowerBI, and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of fraud data analysis and data modelling.
• Ability to prepare concise reports for senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
