The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a high-performing analytics team. This role is pivotal in converting data into actionable insights, thus influencing decisions on housing, safety standards, and resource allocation. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Translate complex business problems into analytical solutions.
  • Design and implement technical solutions for critical business questions.
  • Develop and maintain data models for business intelligence.
  • Optimize data warehousing solutions for scalability and performance.
  • Enhance data warehousing architecture including data ingestion and storage.
  • Develop data and analytical pipelines for high-value analytics use cases.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency standards are met.
  • Collaborate with developers to create technical solutions.
  • Conduct peer reviews to maintain code quality.

This role requires you to have:

  • Experience in data science or analytics engineering.
  • Problem-solving skills with an ability to recommend solutions.

  • Approach technical challenges with practical solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, data science, IT, or statistics.
