Pearson's Workforce Solutions Data Science team is dedicated to creating innovative products by leveraging scientific, research-driven methods. The team, comprised of Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Ontologists, oversees the complete lifecycle of data science models. This role is critical in expanding Pearson's data science intellectual property to deliver substantial customer value.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Utilize SQL to manipulate large datasets within Athena databases.
• Implement analytical techniques for model classification, prediction, and optimization.
• Support the development of data models and deploy them via APIs.
• Maintain and enhance data pipelines and model quality assurance.
• Apply generative AI with Language Model Models for innovative solutions.
• Design and maintain REST APIs for model deployment.
• Conduct research and data analysis in workforce analytics and education.
• Engage with product and customer teams to understand client needs.

This role requires you to have:

• 1+ years in data science with a focus on machine learning and data analytics.
• Formal qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong skills in machine learning, statistical models, and NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with AWS for data pipeline optimization.
