This role is integral to maintaining high standards of data performance, scalability, and reliability.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Design and manage the data warehouse, enforcing standards and best practices.
  • Administer Amazon Redshift clusters for high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Optimize Redshift database performance through query tuning and resource monitoring.
  • Implement data security policies and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
  • Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Redshift systems.
  • Collaborate on ETL processes designing efficient data pipelines and ensuring data quality.
  • Meet business data requirements by working with stakeholders and solving data warehouse issues.
  • Provide training and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team about data warehouse tools.
  • Stay updated with advancements in data warehouse technology and tools.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Amazon Redshift administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with Redshift performance tuning and optimization.
  • Advance skills in EL processes using tools like Five Tran, AWS Glue.
  • Proficiency in AWS services including Redshift, DMS, S3, Lambda, and Glue.
  • Strong comprehension of data warehouse security and compliance.

You would benefit from having:

  • AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with platforms like Snowflake, Google Big Query.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
