Principal Data Analyst

The Department of Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation (DETSI) is seeking a skilled Principal Data Analyst to join their Innovation team. This role is essential in providing strategic data insights and analytics, supporting the agency's innovation initiatives. The analyst will be a part of the Program Design and Insights team, playing a critical role in data-driven decision-making.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead the design and improvement of data collection and reporting processes for innovation systems.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support strategic insights and assessments.
• Handle data reporting for Advance Queensland, ensuring efficient data aggregation.
• Oversee projects for enhancing and automating data processes, maintaining quality standards.
• Recommend tools and methods for trend and impact analysis using various datasets.
• Respond to informational requests on innovation performance and outcomes.
• Foster teamwork and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective services.
• Promote outcomes for First Nations people through work initiatives.
