Senior Data Analyst

Queensland Treasury Corporation is looking for a dedicated Senior Data Analyst to join their team. This role is essential for ensuring that data outputs meet the exacting standards of the Queensland Government Statistician's Office (QGSO). The team works collaboratively to manage, process, and analyze data while providing support and advice to various stakeholders.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead data integration projects and data management activities to meet QGSO standards.
• Access, process, link, analyze, and manage data using tools such as R, GitLab, and custom data linkage software.
• Develop and implement probabilistic data linkage methodologies and data management processes.
• Provide technical advice, information, and support on data quality, linkage, and access.
• Represent the Office at various meetings, working groups, and forums.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, data custodians, data users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare agreements, reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

This role requires you to have:

• High level of knowledge and experience in data collection, processing, analysis, and management.
• Experience in probabilistic data linkage and handling confidential or sensitive data.
• Expertise or ability to quickly acquire expertise in R.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative approach and ability to build working relationships.
• Effective judgement, risk management, and governance adherence.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with GitLab and customized data linkage software.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, but relevant qualifications are highly regarded. Experience in probabilistic data linkage and expertise in R are highly valued.
