Data Engineer

The Royal Automobile Club of WA is on the lookout for a dedicated Data Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on enabling the business through data, reporting, and analytics solutions. By integrating new data sources and ensuring robust data flow, the team seeks to maintain an effective Unified Data Platform.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Identify, research, and integrate new data sources into the Unified Data Platform.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Monitor and sustain data flows for effective data integration.
• Document processes and data objects for data ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with project teams and analysts to meet data needs.
• Design, test, and deploy data transformations into production.
• Provide guidance on data provisioning for analytics.
• Build and maintain data models as specified by analysts.
• Ensure and update the effectiveness of data solutions.
• Offer expertise on Azure Synapse Analytics capabilities.
• Create solutions for data transmission from the Unified Data Platform.
• Gather and document user requirements for data solutions.
• Provide ad-hoc support to users of the Unified Data Platform.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative field.
• Experience in Data Engineering, especially Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL, Pyspark, and PySQL.
• Experience with ETL tools and data transformation.
• Understanding of business sectors like Motoring and Finance.

You would benefit from having:

• Knowledge of OCI and Meta Data Driver Framework.
• Understanding of relational database and data warehousing.
