The role of Senior Data Analyst in the Data and Analytics team is pivotal to leveraging data for audience insights and football analytics. The team ensures that stakeholders have access to valuable data and analytic resources to drive informed decisions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Consult with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design data solutions.
• Create dashboards and reports for improved data-driven decision making.
• Attend meetings to gather insights and develop proactive data solutions.
• Manipulate and interpret diverse data sources for insights and recommendations.
• Conduct detailed analysis on AFL datasets to uncover trends and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team on automated data solutions.
• Develop and maintain high-quality data sets to meet user needs.
• Manage access to reporting platforms for Football Operations users.
• Respond to data queries and educate AFL Clubs on using the AFL Fan Data Service.

This role requires you to have:

• Problem solving and intellectual curiosity
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with data visualisation, ideally Tableau
• Experience in developing automated data solutions
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
