The team ensures that stakeholders have access to valuable data and analytic resources to drive informed decisions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Consult with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design data solutions.
- Create dashboards and reports for improved data-driven decision making.
- Attend meetings to gather insights and develop proactive data solutions.
- Manipulate and interpret diverse data sources for insights and recommendations.
- Conduct detailed analysis on AFL datasets to uncover trends and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team on automated data solutions.
- Develop and maintain high-quality data sets to meet user needs.
- Manage access to reporting platforms for Football Operations users.
- Respond to data queries and educate AFL Clubs on using the AFL Fan Data Service.

This role requires you to have:
- Problem solving and intellectual curiosity
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with data visualisation, ideally Tableau
- Experience in developing automated data solutions
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
You would benefit from having:
- Experience in data science or statistical modelling
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
- Foundational skills in SQL, R, or Python
