The University of Queensland is seeking a Data Analyst to join the ATLAS Indigenous Primary Care Surveillance Network team. The role involves developing an online data dashboard to deliver data visualisation to stakeholders and contributing to the technical development of the ATLAS data infrastructure. This fixed-term, full-time position is based at the Toowong office and helps support the academic and community missions of UQ.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of an interactive data dashboard for health services and stakeholders.
  • Develop reports and dashboards from core systems data, identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Contribute to the development of analytic outputs from the ATLAS data infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve the ATLAS data pipeline.
  • Document code and contribute to data dictionaries, codebooks, and other administrative documentation.
  • Occasional interstate and intrastate travel may be required.

This role requires you to have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Information Management, or a relevant scientific discipline with at least four years of subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Experience in data analytics and visualisation using Python, SQL, R, and Django.
  • Experience and confidence in web development tools and frameworks, including Django, JavaScript, and Docker.
  • High-level organisational abilities and initiative, including effectiveness in work planning, research, and prioritising to meet deadlines in a complex team environment.
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You would benefit from having:
