Technical Data Analyst

Ventia, a leading provider of essential services in Australia and New Zealand, is looking for a Technical Data Analyst. This role supports the DBS Support Services contract and focuses on bridging business needs with technical solutions to enhance data management and insights. The position is based in their Cremorne Head Office with a full-time, permanent structure.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop data models
• Generate insights for strategic decisions
• Maintain and manage critical SQL environments
• Develop and manage ETL processes and implement data quality checks
• Optimize databases for efficient data integration and retrieval
• Provide support for incident management, service requests, and enhancements
• Automate data extraction, analysis, and reporting using T-SQL, Python, and VBA
• Document and maintain all relevant processes
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Support line-of-business services and associated databases
• Collaborate with various managers and leaders using lean and agile methods
• Develop and implement APIs, automation, and other enhancements

This role requires you to have:

• Over 2 years of experience in data roles
• VBA
• Python
• Java
• C++
• HTML
• Microsoft SQL Server stack including SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
• TSQL proficiency

You would benefit from having:

• Diploma or Higher Education in Information Technology
