Senior Data Analyst

Westpac, a longstanding institution with over 200 years of history, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their Customer Analytics & Data Insights team. This role exists to leverage analytical expertise in support of strategic projects and is crucial for interpreting complex datasets and providing actionable insights. The team aims to enhance customer communication through data-driven approaches.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data for customer communications using Teradata SQL.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Westpac databases and core analytical processes.
• Share knowledge to benefit team members and promote standardization and automation.
• Recommend improved solutions based on client business objectives.
• Secure stakeholder sign-off for campaign data briefs and perform quality assurance for team analysts.
• Maintain and contribute to documentation and support other team members.

This role requires you to have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Maths, Statistics, Quantitative Business, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Teradata SQL and Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management and problem-solving with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
