The Molecular Biology team seeks an enthusiastic Molecular Data Analyst to join their Ghent-based R&D Innovation Center, where they develop cutting-edge solutions for sustainable agriculture.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and analyze molecular experiments within the department.
• Develop data analysis tools and workflows using Python and R.
• Collaborate with digital specialists across BASF's Trait Research department.
• Support project follow-ups as a point of contact for Digital Teams.
• Provide expertise in complex experiment design and analysis.
• Shape and optimize current and future data workflows.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration within Trait Research.
• Coach the team on digital maturity and data savviness.

This role requires you to have:

• Master's degree in data science, bioinformatics, or computational biology (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a molecular data analyst.
• Expertise in Python scripting and R programming.
• Experience with data visualization and workflow management systems.
• Familiarity with plant biotech and molecular biology.
• Strong skills in data management, data mining, and integration.
• Proficiency in FAIR data management principles and APIs.
