In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Establish data pipelines between various applications and reporting tools
- Automate existing manual data processes
- Supply data upon request to colleagues and external parties
- Analyze rail network changes and update relevant applications
- Solve data issues by understanding data flows and applications
- Act as a data processing specialist to support colleagues
- Build a network with domain experts to understand data needs
- Design and implement data models and mappings
- Contribute to digitalization efforts with colleagues
- Assist in setting up DevOps automation for digital projects
- Maintain technical documentation
- Stay updated on the latest in the field

This role requires you to have:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Fluency in French or Dutch with proficiency in English
- Comprehensive knowledge of data engineering techniques
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, C#.NET
- Experience with Airflow for automation
- Expertise in databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL
- Knowledge of Docker, Openshift, Azure
- Understanding of data modeling techniques such as Ontology/OWL/SHACL, ERD
- Version control using Git and GitLab
- Experience in complex data-centric projects
You would benefit from having:
- Experience in the railway industry
- Experience in creating conceptual and logical data models
- Understanding of ontologies or OTL
- Knowledge of linked data technologies such as RDF, SHACL, SPARQL
