Stad Gent seeks a data analyst for their Department of Welfare and Society to support policy decisions through data analysis. This role involves close collaboration with colleagues and partners to collect and transform data into valuable policy insights. As part of a proactive team, the data analyst will enhance the decision-making processes in social services.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Answer quantitative questions from colleagues in the welfare department.
• Support services with data for accurate political responses and strategic decision-making.
• Collect, combine, and analyze data across the organization to provide critical insights.
• Develop reports by unlocking, combining, and visualizing data for clear policy information.
• Collaborate with the quality coordinator to establish measurable indicators.
• Increase the self-reliance of services to enable independent data work.
• Advise management on necessary data support and monitor trends for timely advice.
