Vlaamse overheid's Wonen in Vlaanderen division is looking for a seasoned BI Analyst to enhance their Business Intelligence team. The role is pivotal in facilitating analytical reporting across various departments and aligning with policy demands. As part of an ICT service team of about 80 specialists, the BI team you will join is tightly integrated with knowledge management and other business units to meet user, management, and policy reporting needs effectively.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze new and changing analytical reporting requirements.
- Map information flows and develop reporting specifications through business analysis and workshops.
- Model relational and star schemas and produce clear analysis documentation.
- Ensure analysis documentation is technically comprehensive for developer use.
- Supervise implementation, ensuring alignment with requirements and compliance with standards.

This role requires you to have:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of analysis and design techniques, with practical experience in model tools and methods.
- Expertise in data modeling methodologies, specifically conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and analytical models like star schemas.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and ETL tools.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience in master data management.
- Proficiency with BI tools, especially in the Microsoft suite including Power BI.
- Familiarity with Kanban and SCRUM principles in software development.
- Basic knowledge of statistics.
