Amazon Lab126's Alexa Edge AI team is dedicated to building pioneering technology in computer vision and multimodal perception for diverse edge applications. They are looking for a skilled Applied Scientist with a background in deep learning to push boundaries and develop innovative solutions that will enhance customer experiences through advanced AI models. This team supports devices such as the Echo Show series, utilizing multimodal AI to improve perception-based applications.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance multimodal models with a computer vision focus.
• Leverage Amazon’s data sources and computing resources to innovate within the perception domain.
• Design science solutions, conduct experiments, and research new algorithms to enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to implement algorithms and models into production.

This role requires you to have:

• PhD, or Master's degree with 3+ years in CS, CE, ML, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience building models for business application
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages

You would benefit from having:
