Apptad Inc. is seeking a Lead Python Data Engineer to oversee its innovative data infrastructure. This pivotal role focuses on developing data pipelines and creating a unified data system for the organization. The selected candidate will lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering actionable insights.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Lead and design data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into the data warehouse or lake.
- Write optimized SQL queries and use SQLAlchemy for database interactions.
- Implement robust data quality checks to maintain data integrity.
- Develop documentation and enhance team knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate on designing data governance policies.
This role requires you to have:
- 10+ years in Data Engineering with expertise in Python (3.6+).
- Experience with relational databases and complex SQL queries.
- Proficiency in SQLAlchemy or similar ORM libraries.
- Workflow management tools experience, such as Airflow.
- Cloud platform deployment knowledge (Openshift, ECS, Kubernetes).
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with PySpark or PyFlink.
- Ability to mentor junior developers.
- Capacity to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
