AstraNorth is hiring a Full Stack Data Engineer to be part of the team building a cutting-edge data platform grounded in Data Mesh principles. This role is pivotal in developing scalable and robust data solutions using a variety of technologies. The team focuses on delivering valuable insights through business intelligence and analytics while maintaining application efficiency and security.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain a scalable data platform using technologies like Glue, EMR, and Redshift.
  • Develop data pipelines and manage data-related tasks such as cataloging and quality control.
  • Create and upkeep web applications using AngularJS and Python.
  • Build analytical dashboards to provide quick insights for stakeholders.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing Terraform, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop new features.
  • Write efficient and reusable code.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
  • Develop secure APIs and implement authentication with AWS Cognito.
  • Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends.

This role requires you to have:

  • Experience with AWS data engineering technologies like Glue, EMR, and Redshift.
  • Proficient in building data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Strong Full Stack Developer skills with AngularJS and Python.
  • Understanding of web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and AWS cloud services.
  • Hands-on SQL and NoSQL database experience.
  • Skilled with BI tools like Tableau or AWS QuickSight.
  • Proficient with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

You would benefit from having:

  • Knowledge of Git Actions and API development on AWS.
  • Familiarity with financial data and cloud computing.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
