Atlantis IT Group, based in Toronto, is searching for a proficient Data Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial to lead, manage, and bolster the company's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) initiatives. The team aims to advance their data engineering frameworks and enhance migration experiences.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Lead the GCP team with a focus on technical design and solution development
- Manage and lead a data engineering team
- Develop data ingestion frameworks from various sources
- Migrate Hadoop clusters to Google Cloud
This role requires you to have:
- 5-10 years of experience with Google Cloud Services such as Big Query, Looker, Dataflow, Hive, Spark, Airflow, DataProc, Cloud Functions, Cloud Data Fusion, and Cloud Composer
- Experience in managing and leading a data engineering team
- Good communication skills
- Exposure to the Hadoop ecosystem
You would benefit from having:
- Professional Data Engineer certification on GCP
- Experience with Python and PySpark
