Analyst, Revenue Management Data

BC Ferries is seeking a skilled Analyst for their Revenue Management Data team in Victoria. This role is pivotal in analyzing traffic data to drive strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be part of the Tariff and Revenue team, aiding in capacity, scheduling, demand, and other business metrics.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
• Interpret financial and operational data and make recommendations.
• Assist the Management team with investigations, reporting, and projects.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand priorities and develop insights.
• Design and maintain dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Develop relational data models and build dashboard reports with platforms such as Python, Oracle, and Power BI.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and data governance in systems.
• Seek improvements in data collection, analysis methods, and reporting tools.
• Implement best practices in data management and analysis.
• Compile, analyze, and submit traffic data for reporting requirements.

This role requires you to have:

• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in a data-focused role.
• Proficiency in data manipulation with Excel and Power BI.
• Experience in interpreting data from various sources.
