Data Analyst

Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island

The Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island (CHFVI) has dedicated nearly a century to enhancing health care access for Island children. This role exists to empower Island families with much-needed health care services, underpinned by the generous support from donors. The Data Analyst will be a crucial part of the team, driving data-informed decisions to tackle complex health challenges faced by children.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collect and organize data from various sources, including surveys and databases.
• Address data quality issues and support evaluation across the organization.
• Use statistical techniques to find trends and insights.
• Develop predictive data models for strategic decisions.
• Create data visualizations and communicate insights.
• Generate reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure data privacy and contribute to data governance policies.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with data cleaning and visualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Effective communication of complex data concepts.
• Passion for data-driven social impact.

You would benefit from having:

• Proficiency in MS Access, Razors Edge, Humi, Great Plains.
• Experience in nonprofit or charitable sectors.
• Knowledge of fundraising or program evaluation data.
• Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning.
