Senior Data Analyst, Investigations

CIRO, Canada's self-regulatory organization for investment dealers, seeks a Senior Data Analyst for its Enforcement team. The role involves overseeing market activities and leveraging technologies for investigative purposes. The incumbent will enhance current analytics and develop new methodologies for investigating trading infractions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design quantitative analytic processes to analyze market issues and infractions.
• Develop tools to streamline and automate computational processes.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of transactions and market data for reports.
• Assist in developing management information systems tools.
• Create visualization tools for interpreting trading strategies.
• Build training modules and educate team members on new processes.

This role requires you to have:

• Advanced degree in fields like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from relational databases.
• Experience programming in languages such as Python, JAVA, MATLAB, or R.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, CRM, and Office 365.
• Skilled with visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and trading systems.
