The City of Calgary is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their team dedicated to public service and community improvement. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Support Calgary Transit Data Strategic Plan objectives.
- Enhance operational efficiencies through application and data management.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for data-driven decisions.
- Recommend data and operational reporting solutions.
- Generate complex ad-hoc reports to meet client needs.
- Conduct systems analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting.
- Provide actionable insights and analysis to inform business strategies.
- Undertake complex analysis for simple model presentation.
- Perform process mapping, dashboard design, and support Data Governance Framework implementation.

This role requires you to have:
- 2-year diploma with 5 years in Statistical Analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Power BI or similar BI tools, and SQL.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits.
You would benefit from having:
- Database management experience.
- Experience in computer programming, business process improvement, quality assurance, and project management.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as R, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with transit/transportation software products like route scheduling and computerized passenger information systems.
