The City of Edmonton requires a Senior Data Analyst Leader to enhance its Community Services Department's operations. This role involves leading data analysts and conducting in-depth analyses for the Community Standards Branch, ensuring data-driven decisions guide service improvements.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, providing day-to-day guidance.
- Ensure team projects align with branch's strategic goals and are completed efficiently.
- Conduct statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and qualitative research.
- Translate analysis results into accessible presentations and reports.
- Identify gaps in data handling and propose solutions.
- Develop processes for data collection and reporting consistency.
- Evaluate and improve existing processes for greater efficiency.
- Analyze branch data to identify operational issues.
- Conduct research and establish benchmarks for reports.
- Collaborate with units to analyze data for branch needs.
- Lead or support the implementation of branch-wide projects.
- Prepare reports related to branch data.
- Stay updated on data practices and methodologies.
