The City of Kelowna's People & Protective Services Division is looking for a Police Services Data Analyst to join their Community Safety Department. This role supports the RCMP by performing complex data analyses to improve crime reporting and resource efficiency. The position plays a key role in developing metrics that aid in policing performance and community safety strategies.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Conducts and evaluates data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Develops methodologies for data collection and research in police services.
- Creates visual aids for interpreting analytics related to policing.
- Analyzes resource deployment and forecasts trends and issues.
- Enhances crime monitoring and reporting through data analysis.
- Engages in strategic planning and report updates.
- Maintains data analysis projects and prepares reports.
- Ensures information sharing between Kelowna RCMP and Community Safety Department.
