The Lead Data Scientist will provide strategic leadership, guide modeling approaches, and directly engage in technical work, all while supporting a skilled team. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction for defining and refining modeling approaches, incorporating both traditional machine learning methods and Large Language Models.
• Make architectural decisions for deep learning models in collaboration with engineers to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Engage hands-on with datasets and models, dedicating about 90% of the time to direct technical tasks.
• Provide thought leadership by analyzing complex problems and evaluating data science solutions.
• Mentor Senior Data Scientists to foster their technical growth and promote model development best practices.
• Collaborate with the Chief Data Scientist to align data science strategy with business objectives.

This role requires you to have:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with machine learning model development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in traditional ML techniques and Large Language Models, including hands-on application.
• Advanced deep learning knowledge and ability to make impactful architectural decisions.
• Strong Python skills and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
