In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead and build the centralized data engineering team, defining its structure and culture.
• Develop scalable data engineering processes, setting standards for pipeline development and data quality.
• Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to deliver actionable data.
• Design and scale the data platform to support diverse needs.
• Enhance the speed and efficiency of data pipelines by optimizing processes.
• Implement best practices for data engineering.

This role requires you to have:

• 3+ years of management experience in data engineering.
• 6+ years of technical expertise in data engineering, including Python, Airflow/Dagster, DBT, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience building centralized data engineering teams.
• Strategic thinking and ability to execute tactical changes.
• Collaborative leadership and strong communication skills.
• Process-oriented and detail-oriented approach.
• Located within 3 hours of New York time zone.
