Data Engineer - Consultant

Datavail is searching for a Data Engineer Consultant to assist in the integration of AWS solutions. This role is integral in collaborating with business units to overcome data challenges and implement effective AWS-based solutions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to define problems and identify solutions using approved patterns.
• Train Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Data Scientists during the AWS migration process.
• Provide continuous support post-migration and aid in developing new business solutions.
• Detect and address patterns gaps, optimizing processes with Data Engineering as necessary.

This role requires you to have:

• Proficiency with AWS technologies including DMS, Glue, and Step Functions.
• Strong ability in training with AWS tools such as Quicksite, Redshift, Sagemaker, and Glue.
• Experience with AWS Glue/Spark and Python 3.11.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD toolsets, including Git and AWS CodeBuild.
• Capacity to instruct on Data Observability Framework and GIS.

You would benefit from having:

• Understanding of mapping technical debt to AWS Solutions using tools like SAS, PowerBI, and Tableau.
• Skill in technical writing and documenting complex processes.

The contract is initially set for 12 months, with a possibility of extension.
