As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing scalable data solutions and innovating within a dynamic team. Situated at Dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre, this position combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, reporting to the Senior Director of Data Engineering and Architecture.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable data pipelines.
- Implement data migration, warehousing, and ETL projects.
- Transform and consolidate legacy ETL tools.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Drive data-driven innovation and decision-making.
- Develop test strategies and automated scripts with the QA team.
- Manage data system's life cycle from discovery to implementation.
- Guide data developers on CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with Data Quality Assurance Team to uphold quality.
- Translate requirements into functional and technical designs.
- Provide consultation on data and software system evaluations.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Collaborate with vendors as necessary.

- Advanced SQL, Python, Shell scripting knowledge
- Proficient with Snowflake, Boomi, Fivetran, and Prefect
- Node.js and .Net expertise
- Skilled in ETL and API development
- Proficient with DevOps tools like GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Octopus
- Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
- DBT proficiency for data pipeline management
- Terraform expertise for infrastructure design
- Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, ECS, Glue, RDS and Kinesis
- Data modeling and architecture expertise
- Experienced with Agile Scrum, Kanban, and Iterative Data Development
