Desjardins is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Commercial Lines Data Monitoring and Implementation team. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and leveraging data to support business initiatives, improve decision-making, and drive business performance. Effective bilingual communication is key.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Optimize data performance and scalability with data extraction, validation, and analysis using complex queries and algorithms
• Identify, extract, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making
• Design and implement data models and structures adhering to data architecture standards
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows for automated data processing and delivery
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols
• Perform data quality checks and issue resolution using data cleansing techniques
• Evaluate data extraction inquiries, confirm integrity, and provide insights
• Represent the data team in various meetings and presentations
• Resolve data issues
• Leverage statistical and analytical methods for data manipulation and interpretation
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement business intelligence solutions

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, or related field
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience
• Strong communication skills in both French and English
• Advanced proficiency with datasets, coding, and analysis tools
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or SAS, with complimentary skills in Python and R
• Advanced proficiency in business analytics
• Proficiency with PowerBI and Denodo
• Knowledge of the Insurance and Financial Services industry
