Edmonton Public Library is searching for a dynamic and creative Data Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on harnessing real-world data and statistics to shape customer services and assist in evaluating library programs. Reporting to the Manager of Planning, Assessment & Research, the analyst will play a crucial role in transforming diverse data sets into comprehensive reports and visualizations.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the library's assessment program.
- Collaborate with staff to compile and transform data for reports and presentations.
- Conduct research and evaluations to support library services.
- Generate statistical reports related to the library's business plan.
- Identify trends impacting services and propose improvement strategies.

- University degree in a relevant field with coursework in research and statistical analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience in data analysis and performance measurement.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Advanced skills in data collection and visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You would benefit from having:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with SQL.
