The First Nations Tax Commission (FNTC) is dedicated to assisting First Nations in Canada in establishing their tax systems, contributing to self-determination and economic strength. Based in Kamloops, B.C., FNTC blends natural beauty with community activities, offering a vibrant place for residents. This role is crucial in driving the development and maintenance of data systems to support the FNTC's mission.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Lead the operation and maintenance of the data and statistics function.
- Develop processes for data ingestion and consumption in collaboration with staff and contractors.
- Design technical systems supporting data and statistics.
- Manage multiple cloud infrastructure components.
- Configure system connections and develop data validation processes.
- Ensure data compliance standards.
- Create apps and dashboards for staff access to data systems.

This role requires you to have:
- Degree in Data Sciences, Computer Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in managing data and statistics programs.
- Microsoft Azure certifications in Data Engineering or Data Management.
- Proficiency in data management and analytics tools such as Power BI.
You would benefit from having:
- Training in data protection and security.
- Certification in data protection.
