Fortinet's FortiNDR Cloud employs AI, machine learning, behavioral insights, and human analysis to examine network traffic, aiming to identify and mitigate threats early. The FortiGuard Applied Threat Research team, a leading threat intelligence unit, is looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join them in developing innovative solutions to protect critical infrastructure from malicious activities.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop probabilistic models for threat detection
• Design and evaluate machine learning models
• Create and optimize data processing pipelines
• Deploy models in production with a focus on scalability
• Conduct research and prototype emerging ML techniques
• Collaborate with analysts to refine models
• Automate model training and monitoring
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

This role requires you to have:

• Minimum 9 years in data science or machine learning, 3 years in cybersecurity
• Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or related field
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with SQL and complex queries
• Familiar with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on with MLOps and model deployment
• Strong communication skills
