Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

Maplesoft Group, part of SEB Company, is looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team remotely. This role focuses on supporting a Federal Government client by creating efficient data pipelines that enhance data onboarding speed and quality. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including data scientists and IT teams, to optimize data consumption and align with data governance standards.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and implement batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Develop and propose design patterns in accordance with requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to meet data and analytics initiatives.
• Enhance speed and quality of data onboarding to the platform.
• Develop robust data pipelines for increased data consumption.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with Spark programming in Python, Scala.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse.
• Experience with leading Data Engineering principles.

You would benefit from having:

• Integration experience with Azure Event Hub, Function App, C#.
• Expertise in database modeling: Data Vaults, Star, Snowflake.
• Experience with streaming data architecture: Spark Streaming, Kafka.
