Moneris offers an opportunity for a seasoned AI engineer to join their team, focusing on deploying advanced AI solutions to tackle broad business challenges. The role exists to drive innovation using payment data and reports to the Director of Data Science and Development. The team is dedicated to enhancing business insights and exploring new opportunities through AI models.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical expert within the discipline, solving complex problems impacting the business.
• Utilize Azure AI, Databricks, and Snowflake to design AI solutions.
• Create production data science workloads, ensuring best practices and model deployment management.
• Collaborate with data engineering and payment technology teams to implement AI solutions.
• Lead the development of AI models to advance business understanding.
• Design AI systems incorporating RAG and multimodal LLMs to address complex issues.
• Develop statistical techniques to improve project accuracy and performance.
• Establish processes to monitor model performance in production.
• Collaborate with developers and business leaders to incorporate data science findings.
• Create user-friendly interfaces for AI applications using Microsoft Power Apps to boost business adoption.

This role requires you to have:

• PhD or master's in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years in data science or computer engineering.
• Experience in the payments industry, particularly in fraud and risk.
• Hands-on experience developing AI solutions.
• Proficiency in production pipeline management and model deployment.
• Fluency in multiple programming languages.
