In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Utilize corporate databases and systems to apply valuation parameters for property assessment.
  • Analyze statistical and geographical data to determine factors affecting real property values.
  • Edit and document programming code using tools like SPSS, R, and Python for market analysis.
  • Prepare internal and external valuation reports, including market valuation narratives.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on property data and resolve valuation discrepancies.
  • Support enhancements in valuation systems using open-source technologies and analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for appeal preparations and sales ratio interpretations.

This role requires you to have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • At least 3 years experience in mass appraisal, statistical analysis, or data analytics
  • Proficiency in software and databases such as SPSS, R, Python, SQL, and NoSQL
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities

  • Working towards an appraisal designation or certificate from organizations like UBC, RICS, or IMA
