In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Construct and enhance scalable ELT/ETL pipelines for diverse organizational data sources.
  • Collaborate in implementing common data models for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Ensure the security of data in transit and at rest through collaboration with infrastructure and cyber teams.
  • Clean, prepare, and optimize datasets, ensuring applied lineage and quality controls.
  • Aid Business Intelligence Analysts through data modeling and reporting optimization.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues such as ingestion, transformation, pipeline performance, and accuracy.
  • Work on developing data pipelines for the data marketplace with analysts, scientists, and engineers.
  • Implement process improvements, task automation, and data delivery optimization for scalability and efficiency.

This role requires you to have:

  • 4-Year University education in computer science or related field.
  • 4-6 years experience in a similar field.
  • Experience as a Data Engineer building data pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, and SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality principles.

You would benefit from having:

  • Understanding of data structures and processing frameworks.
