Sr. Cloud Data Engineer

RBC is looking for a strategic thinker and data management enthusiast to join their Data Engineering team within the Investor and Treasury Services unit. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based data solutions in alignment with the company's vision. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant and fast-paced team, driving data strategy execution and showcasing strong leadership skills.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Enterprise Cloud team to implement target state architecture.
• Integrating data with cloud platforms and publishing through APIs and portals.
• Establishing cloud components using Jenkins or Terraform pipelines.
• Conducting Proof-of-Concepts and prototypes testing different use cases.
• Evaluating and implementing data access control practices for authentication and encryption.
• Working in an agile team with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.

This role requires you to have:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3 years in system integration and DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Node.JS, Apigee, Python, PySpark, Airflow, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
