Softline Technology Ltd is looking for a skilled DataOps/Cloud Data Engineer to join their team. The role focuses on optimizing cloud data services and ensuring smooth data/database operations. The engineer will work on cutting-edge projects, utilizing their expertise in cloud platforms and DataOps to enhance data management solutions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Participate in reviewing project and maintenance release artefacts.
- Deliver detailed system design documents according to Ministry standards.
- Design, develop, and optimize CI/CD data/database pipelines.
- Develop logical and physical data models using Sybase Power Designer.
- Prepare DACPAC database changes and develop Azure CI/CD release pipeline.
- Promote database changes through various environments.
- Provision data in cloud environments based on requirements.
- Design and implement programs for data loading, conversion, and migration.
- Handle data conversion for OLAP and OLTP environments to cloud services.
- Design data warehouse and data lake solutions.
- Maintain and tune performance of SQL databases.
- Support cloud-based data replication solutions.
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL and SQL server stored procedures.
- Monitor incidents and provide timely resolutions.
- Perform reference data administration as needed.
- Build and test database automation scripts and backups.
- Conduct database administration tasks including patching and upgrades.
- Document and resolve database issues.
- Transfer knowledge to Ministry staff effectively.
This role requires you to have:
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies including pipelines, DACPAC, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle database administration.
- Strong understanding of DataOps principles and CI/CD processes.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with data pipeline automation.
- Knowledge of data security and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with data replication in cloud environments.
The candidate is required to work in the office three days a week and must be submitted before March 19, 2025.
