In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Code and abstract clinical data accurately using standard classification systems.
• Ensure data collection reflects accurate chart documentation and engage in quality assurance activities.
• Support quality improvement projects by developing data-driven plans.
• Generate detailed reports that enhance patient safety and resource optimization.
• Manage and interpret clinical data in international and regional quality projects.
• Perform statistical management and serve as a primary contact for surgical and trauma data interpretation.
• Communicate effectively across hospital departments to meet clinical objectives.

This role requires you to have:

• Certified in Health Information Management by relevant Canadian institutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Coding Standards and reporting.
