Tactable seeks a Senior Data Engineer skilled in Databricks to independently lead the development of data infrastructure and ETL pipelines. This role involves collaboration with engineering and data teams to create scalable systems. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks
  • Process large datasets with PySpark/Spark and SQL
  • Integrate data from Azure Blob Storage, ADLS, and various systems
  • Optimize Databricks workloads for performance and cost efficiency
  • Monitor data pipelines to ensure accuracy and troubleshoot issues
  • Onboard and integrate new data sources
  • Migrate existing pipelines to new architectures
  • Break down and manage large tasks to completion
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior data engineers
  • Design workflow automation to improve efficiency and standardization
  • Document processes for team and client reference

This role requires you to have:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • 5+ years with Databricks platform implementations
  • Proficient in Java and SQL
  • Skilled in Python or similar programming languages
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

You would benefit from having:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with data workflow management tools
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities

Candidates must be located in Toronto and eligible to work in Canada. The job requires fluency in English.
