TD, one of the leading financial institutions globally, is seeking a Data Scientist III for their Canadian Personal Banking Analytics Insights & Artificial Intelligence (CPB AI2) team. This role is pivotal in transforming banking operations by delivering key insights and identifying opportunities to enhance customer service through advanced data strategies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop credit strategies for TD & MBNA Cards and Personal Lending products using data analysis and machine learning.
  • Lead meetings with CPB Business and Retail Risk Management to propose credit strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities and drive initiatives that provide financial value supporting the business strategy.
  • Support new credit strategy development with advanced analytics.
  • Identify and manage risks related to Cards & Personal Lending Acquisition and Account Management.
  • Complete complex analytic projects requiring specialist knowledge.
  • Produce insights and recommend actions to support business strategy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the CPB AI2 team.

This role requires you to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science in credit lending products.
  • Experience in the financial services industry with a focus on credit strategy and risk management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
