Analyst, Data Management (18-month temporary)

Reporting to the Senior Lead, Biodiversity, the Analyst will be critical in managing biodiversity data for regulatory and rehabilitation compliance.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead and promote safety and environmental policies.
• Implement and maintain a standardized biodiversity loss gain accounting system.
• Coordinate data updates for biodiversity reporting.
• Support mine planning with dataset management and web mapping.
• Perform QA/QC of internal and consultant biodiversity datasets.
• Integrate data into Teck's centralized biodiversity database.
• Support the restoration research database framework.
• Maintain continuity between site and corporate departments.

This role requires you to have:

• Minimum of 2 years experience with GIS systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in GIS with environmental focus.
• Proficient in GIS and environmental data management.
• Project management and planning proficiency.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
