Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will work under the Director of Planning, Data & Analysis, focusing on advancing the faculty's data infrastructure to support its strategic and operational goals.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and implement database testing plans and scenarios.
• Assess methodologies for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Write scripts for data extraction, reformatting, and analysis.
• Conduct system performance analysis for management decision-making.
• Develop database conversion and migration strategies.
• Create technical documentation and user support guides.
• Deliver financial data presentations to management.
• Serve as a resource on specific issues to specialists.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent.
• Four years of experience in data analysis and large dataset manipulation.
• Advanced SQL query writing and database debugging.
• Experience with data modeling and query performance tuning.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Skills in automating workflows and monitoring data processes.
