In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, DataBricks, Snowflake, Spark, dbt, and Azure.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and ensure data quality and governance.
• Build data lakes, warehouses, and architectures focusing on performance and scalability.
• Automate validation and anomaly detection across data systems.
• Maintain data dictionary and metadata repositories.
• Monitor performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring system uptime.
• Collaborate across teams to support business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Mentor team members, lead code reviews, and promote best practices in data engineering.
• Contribute to real-time analytics, machine learning pipelines, and reporting systems.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience in data engineering with expertise in ETL/ELT workflows.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with tools like Apache Spark, DataBricks, Snowflake, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and security compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work across teams.

You would benefit from having:

• DevOps experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting machine learning or AI workflows.
• Experience with enterprise data dictionaries.
• Experience building real-time data monitoring and validation frameworks.
• Experience in fast-paced SaaS environments with remote teams.
