The Data Engineer role is critical in crafting scalable solutions that enhance ESG data management, backed by significant venture capital support.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable data pipelines for ESG data ingestion, processing, and storage.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes for clean data preparation for analytics.
  • Create and optimize data models and warehouses for benchmarking and risk analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Conduct basic data analysis using SQL or Python to uncover insights.
  • Collaborate on integrating ESG metrics into dashboards or visualizations.
  • Work with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Support ROI case studies through data extraction and financial modeling.

This role requires you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing with tools like Redshift or Big Query.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional team collaboration.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with ESG, FinTech, Renewable Energy, or Transportation projects.
  • Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks like SFDR or PAI.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Kafka.
  • Ability to create visualizations using Looker or Omni.
